These are very well preserved fossil teeth of the extinct, giant mackerel shark, Otodus obliquus. The teeth are randomly selected are in great condition. It's Eocene in age, approximately 54 million years old and comes from the phosphate deposits near Khouribga, Morocco. This tooth is completely free of the surrounding matrix and is a bargain quality specimen.

These teeth are collected during the massive phosphate mining operations. While teeth of Otodus are common fossils at the mines, most of them are small and broken, unlike what we are selling here.
