Recently and legally collected in private property along the Connecticut River Valley near Middletown, Connecticut. This is the fossil impressions of a Theropod (raptor) that existed some 200 Million Years Ago. This Theropod (Anomoepus gramillis) is believed to have been a small bird-like raptor that preyed on insects and small reptilians. It likely stood between 2 to 3 feet tall.
This track has been lightly polished with a clear sealant to help pop them out. The track itself is quite light and therefore priced appropriately. The sealant May be washed or peeled off so the fossil can revert to its original state.
While Double-sides Specimens are not uncommon, they are usually made from other individuals in casted layers. This specimen however left an impression that transferred to the other side as well.
