Age: 210 Million Years Old (Triassic)

Location: Connecticut River Valley, Connecticut

Species: Grallator (Unknown Theropods, possibly Podokesaurus holyokensis)

Recently and legally collected in private property along the Connecticut River Valley near Middletown, CT. This is the fossil impressions of a Theropod (raptor) that existed some 210 Million Years Ago. The species that made these tracks is relatively unknown to science, but it can be said safely that these tracks were made by theropods standing at about 5 to 7 feet tall. This was a very busy area as there are tracks all over the slab!

One the back are Raised impressions which are created when new Sediments cover the original impressions and harden within them. On occasion when you split this Jurassic shale, you will get both the original negative impressions as well as these Raised casts. These tracks have been polished. The polish can be scrubbed off with a little elbow grease.
