Age: 200 Million Years Old

Location: Connecticut River Valley, Connecticut

Species: Anchisauripus/Grallator (Unknown Theropods, possibly Podokesaurus holyokensis)

Recently and legally collected in private property along the Connecticut River Valley. This is the fossil impressions of a Theropod (raptor) that existed some 200 Million Years Ago. The species that made these tracks is relatively unknown to science, but it can be said safely that these tracks were made by theropods standing at about 5 to 9 feet tall. This was a very busy area as there are tracks all over the slab! It is believed that Anchisauripus may have been have been the adult version of the dinosaur that made the Grallator tracks, such as the raised Grallator on the back.

One the back is a Raised impression which was created when new Sediments cover the original impressions and harden within them. On occasion when you split this Jurassic shale, you will get both the original negative impressions as well as these Raised casts. These tracks have been polished. The polish can be scrubbed off with a little elbow grease.
