Fossil Ichthyosaur Vertebrae / Russia / Jurassic # 2
Self-collected in Weymouth, England
This is the fossil Vertebrae of a Marine Reptile known as the Ichthyosaur, and was collected in a England’s Jurassic Coast. Ichthyosaurs resembled lizard-like dolphins. They reigned from the Triassic to the Early Cretaceous Periods. The first Ichthyosaur fossils were discovered by Mary Anning (for who “She sell seashells” is based) and her brother, Jacob.
